How do I join the SJC Show Choir?
Contact us on our facebook page, or send an email to showchoir.li@student.sjcny.edu. We will send you a conflict sheet, and will let you know what songs you will be in based on your availability. You can also come to our monthly meetings. The dates for Fall 2014 are:
Monday, September 15
Wednesday, October 1
Monday, November 3
Tuesday, December 2
All meetings will take place in N-129.

Will I be in every song for Disney Night?
You will be selected for numbers based on your availability and dancing skills. Different time slots will be assigned specific numbers. If you wish to participate in a number you cannot make rehearsals for, please let an executive know, and we will do our best to accomodate you.

I don't have any experience! Can I still join?
We are proud of the various skill levels of our members! We take everyone, from seasoned performers to those wanting to try something new!

Is there an audition?
There are NO auditions to be part of the Show Choir. However, we do test vocal range through private auditions with the musical director so Show Choir members will be placed in the correct voice parts. We also audition for solos, and featured parts within the group numbers. Solos and featured roles will be distributed through the discretion of the Show Choir executives and Sister Grace.

I would like to request a musical number. Is this possible?
Of course! We love collaborating with our members! The executives start to select pieces over the summer so we can start working once the school year begins, but we are very open to suggestions throughout hte semester.

I don't want to perform. Can I still be involved?
Show Choir is always looking for crew members, and club members to assist with selling tickets, creating scenery, and various other aspects of our productions. Please send us an email, and we will let you know what we need help with.

Where do you rehearse?
We can be found rehearsing throughout the SJC Patchogue campus. However, we do try to use N-129 whenever possible.

When do we rehearse?
We rehearse based on YOUR schedule! After our members fill out their conflict sheets, we will send out a rehearsal calendar.
Are you looking for instrumentalists?
Show Choir is currently looking for a rehearsal pianist. If you or someone you know may be interested, please contact us.
